Minimalism is widely represented in modern architecture. Cities are designed with lines made of concrete, steel and wires, creating a strong contrast to natural landscapes. The peacefulness of the natural is replaced by stark and simple forms.
Signs painted onto roads force people to follow their rules: telling them how to act and where to go. Spatial freedom is constricted. Now and then city dwellers find themselves needing to escape.
